The Foundation for Women’s Resources Highlights Health and Wellness as a 2011 Leadership Issue
New blog will feature a candid conversation and serious challenge for those who serve in leadership roles.
Dallas, TX – Starting in March of 2011, and in collaboration with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, The Foundation for Women’s Resources will initiate a virtual conversation about the personal, business and societal necessity of taking care of one’s own health first and positing that healthy living be essential to define personal and professional success. Women leaders accepted into the 2011 class of Leadership Texas, in particular, will receive critical information and tools they need to affect positive change in the areas of health and wellness. With a goal of heightening awareness for the defining issue among leaders, the Foundation opted to leverage social media and a blog format to engage a larger network of women leaders in the conversation and ultimately affect change on a national and international level.
“If the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step, then it’s time we got started, one forward motion after another, women leading leaders toward health and wellness for themselves and making it an essential ingredient not just within the boundaries of the state of Texas, but for our nation and the world.”
- – Candace O’Keefe-Mathis, CEO, the Foundation for Women’s Resources
Sunshine Avenue applauds the Foundation and their leaders for helping to light the path to a healthier community.
